Wellow, Somerset, UK
A pleasant interlude whilst my pride and joy cycled the route between Midsomer Norton and Bath, via some disused railway tunnels. Unfortunately, we missed the Pride and Joy whilst we were in the pub getting coffee (yes, it was definitely coffee), so I was unable to buy him the long cold drink he probably needed. Shame. There is a free car park- well, field, so park and walk.
The pub seemed very popular and the Sunday menu interesting. We didn't partake, so I can't comment as to whether the food is any good- it seemed rather selfish stuffing our faces while the Pride and Joy was labouring through the North Somerset countryside.
There's a walk up to Stoney Littleton
Longbarrow from the village, so we're thinking of bringing the dog and walking up to it. The Pride and Joy will, no doubt, bring his bike.
If you've eaten at the Fox and Badger
let me know- if we're coming back to walk the dog, I'd like to make sure the Other Half knows he's buying lunch.
